Tyler County Speedway

All systems go for Tyler County's Bullring Bonanza

May 2, 2012, 1:14 pm
From track reports

Less than a month remains before Tyler County Speedway hosts the inaugural Bullring Bonanza May 25-26, and all systems are on go for the biggest event in the history of the quarter-mile oval in Middleburg, W.Va.

The two-day megaevent on Memorial Day weekend will culminate with Saturday’s $25,000-to-win Jackpot 100 for the World of Outlaws Late Model Series, but there will be plenty of other festivities to keep fans entertained throughout the entire weekend.

Along with concerts by country music acts Craig Morgan and the Davisson Brothers Band, the weekend offers great food, camping and the chance for fans to win more than $700,000 in cash and prizes all while helping to raise money for the Tyler County Firefighters Association. Bullring Bonanza details:

Giveaways: In a series of lottery-style drawings, the Tyler County Firefighters Association will give away more than $700,000 in cash, prizes, including a $50,000 grand prize, several new Ford and Chevrolet vehicles, four new Harley-Davidson motorcycles, vacations getaways, campers and so much more. Each of the 10,000 general admission tickets has a four-digit number. Beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 26, bingo-style drawing machines will randomly select from these numbers, and the matching ticket for each drawing wins the associated prize. Ticketholders do not need to be present to win. Other opportunities to win include side raffles, games, 50/50 chances and more.

Share the wealth: Fans who already have a ticket are encouraged to pass along the summers’ biggest event order form to family, friends and coworkers and experience the fun, food, entertainment and chance to win big at the Bonanza. They do not have to present to win prizes.

Tickets: Tickets are available online at www.bullringbonanza.org or www.tylercountyspeedwayonline.com where fans can download flyers, order forms. Tickets and more information regarding the Bullring Bonanza can also be obtained by calling 304-771-5661 or 304-758-441, mailing to Bullring Bonanza, PO Box 107, Middlebourne, WV 26149 or emailing bullringbonanza@gmail.com.

Reserved seats: Reserved seating for the World of Outlaws $25,000-to-win Jackpot 100 and the Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour Let it Ride 55 is available now. The top four rows of bleacher seating is available for purchase at just $5 per seat and can be reserved by calling 304-771-5661.

Camping: With the Memorial weekend traditionally signifying the dawn of the summer camping season, the Tyler County Fairgrounds will welcome Bonanza ticket buyers for a weekend full of camping, fun with friends and the opportunity to participate in the most fan friendly event in Tyler County Speedway history. Fans are invited to fill the coolers, pack that grill and head to the hills of the Mountain State and spend the weekend at the bullring. For camping information call 304-771-5661.

Go social: Keep up with all the latest information regarding the Bullring Bonanza by following the event’s social media pages on Facebook and Twitter.

Directions: The Tyler County Fairgrounds and Speedway is located 3 miles south of Middlebourne, W.V., on State Route 18 and just a mere hour from Parkersburg, Wheeling, and Clarksburg.

Bullring Cornhole Classic: A doubles cornhole tournament will be held at the Tyler County Fairgrounds on Friday, May 25, at 1 p.m. The cost is $20 per team. The tournament will be structured as a single game first to 21, double elimination with maximum field of 64. The winning team will earn $100 cash, trophy and two tickets to the WoO-sanctioned Black Diamond 125 at Tyler County in September. The runner-up team will earn $50 and two tickets to the Earl Hill Memorial. There will be onsite registration on the day of the event starting at 10 a.m. For more information call 304-771-4744.
