BROWNSTOWN, Ind. (Sept. 25) — Heavy rains battering the Jackson County Fairgrounds have reduced the 30th annual Jackson 100 at Brownstown Speedway to a single-day show. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event, originally scheduled as a Friday-Saturday evening paying $20,000 to the winner, is now scheduled for Saturday only as a $12,000-to-win event after track and series officials were forced to cancel Friday's action.

Saturday's action is scheduled to include time trials, heat races, consolation races and the 100-lap main event at the quarter-mile oval in southern Indiana.

"We really hated to call (Friday) off, not only for the competitors that came to race in the event, but mainly for the fans that come out and support us each week and those that come from all over the country to watch the event," said Brownstown Speedway promoter Tim Keithley. "We look forward to putting on a great show for everyone tomorrow, and hope to see all the fans coming out to cheer on their favorite locals and the stars of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series."
