Reigning series champion David Breazeale of Four Corners, Miss., was second with Cliff Williams of Star, Miss., in third. Consolation race winner Jeremy Broadus of Biloxi, Miss., rallied to finish fourth in the 18-car field and Steve Bryan of Collinsville, Miss., was fifth for his third straight top-five finish in a new MasterSbilt Race Car.

Byars also crossed the line first in MSCCS action May 27 at Hattiesburg, but that victory was disallowed after lab tests revealed he used chemically-enhanced tires.
