WAYNESBORO, Va. (Sept. 7) — Starting outside the front row, hometown driver Buck Roadcap led all the way Friday at Eastside Speedway for his first career Steel Block Bandits victory. He earned $1,500.
Roadcap fought off challenges from runner-up Joey Leavell and third-place finisher Greg Roberson in taking the checkers. Series points leader Andy Fries and Walker Arthur rounded out the top five.
Lee Jamerson started on the pole of the 28-car feature, but a first-lap spin knocked him from contention and he ended up 12th.
