Jared Miley picked up a big paycheck at Tyler County Speedway.
What won the race: Using lapped traffic to his advantage, Jared Miley of Pittsburgh, Pa., passed leader Tyler Carpenter and pulled away to win his second career Ultimate Northeast Super Late Model Series race. Derek Doll finished second, whole Carpenter slipped to third. Miley earned $5,000 for winning the 30th annual Earl Hill Memorial.
Key notes: It was Miley's third career Earl Hill Memorial victory. ... After a mid-race yellow, Miley pulled away to win by more than a straightaway. … The event was slowed by one caution. Cody Rogers slowed to a stop in turn four near the halfway mark. … Ultimate Northeast officials pushed the show along with the threat of weather imminent throughout the day. … The race was co-sanctioned by sister tours Ultimate Northeast Late Model Series and Ultimate Mid-Ohio Valley Late Model Series. … It's the only stop at Tyler County for either series this season.
On the move: Zack Dohm of Cross Lanes, W.Va., finished fourth after starting ninth.
