Jamie Perry inherited the UCRA victory via Jason Deal's disqualification.
What won the race: After apparent winner Jason Deal of Copperhill, Tenn., was disqualified for using unapproved fuel, Jamie Perry of Ringgold, Ga., was lifted to a $2,500 victory in Tri-County's Crate Late Model Championship. The win was Perry's first with the United Crate Racing Alliance.
Key notes: Deal led all 40 laps and crossed the finish line first, surviving late-race lapped traffic for his apparent first series victory, but he was later disqualified in post-race tech. ... The event was slowed by four minor caution flags on laps 6, 10, 13 and 38. ... Sixth-starting Cory Hedgecock pulled off the track prior to the start of the feature, but returned to start from his original position; he piloted Matt Henderson's car. ... Tri-County hosted its lone UCRA race. ... Series competitors move to Fort Payne Motor Speedway in Fyffe, Ala., on Saturday.
On the move: Robert Gant of Pisgah, Ala., started 14th and finished seventh.
Winner's sponsors: Perry No. P4 Longhorn Chassis is sponsored by Cotton's Service Center, Secoa Technology, NiB-One and Mark Heatherly Construction.
Points chase: Entering the weekend doubleheader, Rusty Ballenger led the standings (110) over Eric Hickerson (82).
