Fulp nabs Falls Nationals win at West Plains

WEST PLAINS, Mo. (Aug. 30) — Jim Fulp of Aurora, Mo., overtook polesitter Jarrod Hilton of Crane, Mo., on the 11th lap at West Plains Motor Speedway and went on to grab his second victory of the season on the Show-Me Racin' Series. A rallying Leslie Essary of Crane was second and Hilton was third in the 18th annual Coca-Cola Fall Nationals at the 3/8-mile oval in the foothills of the Ozarks.
Shane Essary of Aurora was fourth and Chuck Comer of Joplin, Mo., who started outside the front row, rounded out the top five. The feature was slowed by a single caution on the 12th lap when the cars of Burl Woods and Chris Morelock got hung together on the backstretch.
