Neal earns $3,000 for IMCA victory at Quincy

Quincy RacewayQUINCY, Ill. (June 29) — Quickly working his way to the front, Terry Neal of Ely, Iowa, led 45 of 50 laps at Quincy Raceway to capture the Titan Tire and Wheel Shootout. Neal pocketed $3,000 for one of the richest paydays of the season in IMCA Late Model competition.
Neal, who started in the fourth row, grabbed the lead on the sixth lap and led the rest of the way, fighting off challenges from Quincy drivers Jason Frankel and Mark Burgtorf. Neal pulled away in the closing laps to win by two seconds over Frankel while Burgtorf, Justin Reed and Tom Goble rounded out the top five. Frankel increased his points lead in Quincy's weekly title chase.
Quincy hosts the UMP DIRTcar Summernationals on June 8 with a $6,000-to-win event. Fans using ticket stubs from June 29 or July 6 events receive $2 off admission to the Summernationals event.
