Rainouts, cancellations for Aug. 11-13
Among rainouts, cancellations and schedule changes for sanctioned and special Late Model events scheduled for Aug. 11-13:
Enid: Saturday's Complete Well Testing Sooner Late Model Series at Enid (Okla.) Speedway was rained out after heat races; the feature will be held Sept. 9 along with a previously scheduled event.
Cherokee: Following heavy rain, officials postponed the $20,000 Summer South Sizzler to Sunday; gates open at 11 a.m. with a drivers' meeting at 12:30. (Wristbands will also be honored at Cherokee's Aug. 19 and Aug. 26 events.)
Lake Ozark: Saturday's Dirt Track Bank Cash Money Super Dirt Series event at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Mo., was canceled due to rain.
Oberlin: Saturday's High Plains Dirt Late Model Series event at Oberlin (Kan.) Speedway was cancelled because of a low car count; the series added a Saturday event at Thomas County Speedway in Colby, Kan.
Midway: Electrical damage from mid-week storms forced the cancellation of Friday’s Dirt Track Bank Cash Money Super Dirt Series in Lebanon, Mo. No make-up date was announced.
Red Cedar: Friday’s $5,555-to-win Duane Mahder Memorial was rained out and has been rescheduled for Thursday, Sept. 21; it now serves as the opener of a three-day Punky Manor Challenge event.
Central Arkansas: Saturday's Titan Legends Late Model Series event at Central Arkansas Motor Speedway in Plumerville, Ark., was rained out with no makeup date immediately announced.
