What won the race: Becoming the Crate Late Model tour's sixth different winning in six races this season, Brandon Carpenter of Coldwater, Miss., raced to a $3,000 victory on the All Star Racing Series Saturday night at Crossroads MotorPark Speedway.
Key notes: Carpenter is the son of Mississippi Super Late Model standout Dean Carpenter. ... Defending series champion Ashley Newman of Ripley, Tenn., finished second with Jeremy Greenway, J.C.
