Tommy Bailey heads for a $3,000 Lake Cumberland victory.
What won the race: Tommy Bailey of Corbin, Ky., swept the night at Lake Cumberland Speedway's Back the Blue event on Saturday, setting fast time, winning his heat race and leading every lap of the 40-lap feature. Bailey earned a $3,000 payday in the unsanctioned special.
Key notes: Bailey crossed the finish line 0.420 seconds ahead of runner-up Camaron Marlar. Scott James was third with Caleb Ashby and Steve Stollings rounding out the top five finishers. ... Lake Cumberland has at least two more Super Late Model special events planned in 2020 with the Schaeffer's Iron-Man Series set to visit the track for a $10,022-to-win race on Aug. 29 and a $5,000-to-win race on Oct. 10.
