What won the race: Moving by mid-race leader and older brother Brandon Overton on lap 32, fourth-starting Cody Overton of Evans, Ga., paced the final 19 circuits to win Saturday's $10,000 604 Crate Late Model portion of the Turkey 100 at Swainsboro Raceway. Overton captured his second five-figure payday of the week after collecting $10,000 last Saturday at Needmore (Ga.) Speedway. It's Overton's second victory of the season at Swainsboro after topping August's $5,000 CRUSA stop.
Key notes: Fifth-starting Will Roland moved into the runner-up spot on lap 35 and trailed Overton the rest of the way, finishing a distant 5.235 seconds back. ... Carson Ferguson charged to take third on lap 36 before rounding-out the podium. ... Seventh-starting Pearson Lee Williams finished fourth after taking the spot on lap 43. ... Brandon Overton led laps 14-31 before fading to finish fifth. ... Trent Ivey led the first 13 laps from the pole before settling for sixth. ... Dillon Brown improved four spots and finished seventh. ... After winning the $5,000 602 Crate Late Model race earlier in the evening, John Ruggiero Jr. started and finished eighth. ... The race's lone caution flew when Ben Faircloth slowed from seventh on lap 23; Faircloth continued and finished 11th. ... Saturday's main event lasted 20 minutes, with 11 drivers completing 50 laps and 12 running at the finish.
