Thomas tunes up at Green Valley with TTCS win

Green Valley SpeedwayGLENCOE, Ala. (March 20) — Polesitter William Thomas earned $1,500 for winning the opener of the Top Tracks Challenge Series at Green Valley Speedway. The event served as a tuneup for the March 26-28 GVS Crate Nationals paying $25,000 to the winner.
Thomas, fastest among 50 qualifiers, crossed the finish line in front of Todd Morrow of Oldfort, Tenn., the night's Super Late Model winner gunning for a sweep. Jeff Smith of Rocky Face, Ga., was third followed by Ronny Lee Hollingsworth of Northport, Ala., and Tim Busha of Boaz, Ala.

The top 10 qualifiers were locked into the first five rows of the feature while consolation races set the remainder of the field. ...
