Franklin earns $1,500 Road Show victory at Lawndale

LAWNDALE, N.C. (June 4) — Polesitter Dennis “Rambo” Franklin of Gaffney, S.C., earned $1,500 Friday at Cleveland County Speedway for an NDRA Heintz Bros. Performance Road Show victory for Crate Late Models. Franklin led every lap for his second straight NDRA touring victory.
Jeff Cooke of Spartanburg, S.C., and hometown driver Ron Parker chased Franklin to the checkered flag in the 40-lap main event, with Cooke posted his third straight runner-up finish in Road Show action. Kent Peckham and Jimmy Schiltz rounded out the top five. | Slideshow
