Pegher leads all 25 laps at Roaring Knob
MARKLEYSBURG, Pa. (June 26) — Polesitter Mike Pegher Jr. of Wexford, Pa., became the first two-time winner on the Fastrak Northeast touring series with a flag-to-flag, 25-lap victory Saturday at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex.
Butch Lambert was second for his best finish of the season while 13th-starting Cody Hardesty rallied to finish third. Series points leader Max Blair came from 10th to finish fourth and Gary Knollinger rounded out the top five.
Two cars got upside down in separate incidents. Steve Dixon slipped high in turn four on the 21st lap and hit the wall, flipping onto his roof. Two laps later, a turn-two tangle that involved several cars left Dan Angelicchio on his roof. No serious injuries were reported.
