HESSTON, Pa. (Aug. 7) — Tail-starting Mike Pegher of Wexford, Pa., raced to a Fastrak Northeast victory Saturday at Hesston Speedway to tie Max Blair atop the all-time victories list with his seventh career triumph. Pegher earned $1,200 in leading the final 12 laps in the 12-car race.

Josh Holtgraver led the first eight laps before giving up the lead to Butch Lambert, and Pegher worked his way to the front on the 14th lap for a lead he'd never give up.

Lambert settled for second in the 25-lapper followed by Blair, the series points leader. Dan Angelicchio and Dan Karalagas rounded out the top five.
