David Smith captures Wythe's Fastrak race
RURAL RETREAL, Va. (July 23) – Defending series champion David Smith of Inman, S.C., earned $3,000 Saturday night at Wythe Raceway for winning the Fastrak Racing Series Southeast tour event for Crate Late Models.
Bobby Mays of Jonesborough, Tenn., followed Smith to the finish at the half-mile racetrack with Jensen Ford of Piney Flats, Tenn., third. Ryan Atkins of Mount Airy, N.C., was fourth and hometown driver Kenny Peoples finished fifth.
