Pegher wins Grand Nationals opener at Dog Hollow
STRONGSTOWN, Pa. (Oct. 9) — Mike Pegher Jr. of Wexford, Pa., led all 30 laps Sunday at Dog Hollow Speedway to win the Northeast Region's first round of the Fastrak Grand Nationals.
Pegher never faltered in a race that went green for 15 laps before a rash of yellow flags hampered the remainders of the feature.
Pegher earned $1,500 and put himself in position for a shot at the $30,000 Grand Nationals paycheck in the next two rounds of the season-ending showdown on Oct. 21-22 at Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tenn.
Josh Holtgraver edged Max Blair for the second spot while Robbie Blair and Steve Dixon rounded out the top five.
