Caswell's victory wraps up Go Nuclear title
BROCKVILLE, Ontario (Oct. 12) — Dale Caswell of Central Square, N.Y., wrapped up his championship on the Go Nuclear Late Model Challenge Series on Friday at Brockville Speedway for a $1,000 Crate Late Model triumph.
Caswell, who captured his series-leading third race of the season, took the checkers ahead of Adam Turner and had a special dedication for the victory.
“We lost my grandmother, and this was definitely for her,” said Caswell, who was late to the track and started on the tail of his heat race but never slowed down the rest of the night. “We’ve been running pretty good up here in Canada and the north country, for sure.”
A.J. Kingsley was third with Mark Rayner and Mat Vinderlinden rounding out the top five finishers. Greg Belyea and Tim Sears Jr. entered the event with a chance at the series title, but Belyea ended up ninth and Sears finished 18th.
