Whitener completes Fastrak sweep at East Bay

GIBSONTON, Fla. (Feb. 2) — Mark Whitener of Middleburg, Fla., on Saturday completed his three-race sweep of Fastrak Racing Series action at East Bay Raceway Park’s 37th annual Winternationals. Whitener earned $3,000, increasing his weekend earnings to $7,000 along with his Thursday and Friday victories. | Slideshow
Whitener took the checkers ahead of Dennis “Rambo” Franklin of Gaffney, S.C., while Keith Nosbisch of Valrico, Fla., was third. Chris Cantrell of Chester, S.C., and Wayne Robertson of Corning, N.Y., rounded out the top five.
