Bradsher scores first Fastrak tour victory
ELKIN, N.C. (April 13) — Fast qualifier and polesitter Donald Bradsher of Burlington, N.C., led all 40 laps Saturday at Friendship Motor Speedway for his first-ever Fastrak touring victory on the City Chevrolet Tour. Bradsher earned $2,000 for the Crate Late Model victory in Fastrak’s first trip to Friendship in three years.
Brandon Umberger of Rural Retreat, Va., finished second with Jordan Dill of Landrum, S.C., in third. Chris Meadows of Crab Orchard, W.Va., and David Smith of Inman, S.C., rounded out the top five.
Two red flags slowed the action, the first for a multicar pileup on a lap-10 restart and left Greg Clark’s car see-sawing on the pit retaining out in turn one.
Another red appeared after Bryan Nance spun in turn four. Dale Barneycastle’s car went airborne and ended up atop the wall near the catch fence, with Landon Mitchell and Matt Long also involved. No one was injured.
