Winebarger gets second straight Northwest victory
BANKS, Org. (June 1) — Collen Winebarger didn’t need very long to follow up his first-career Northwest Extreme Crate Series victory with another visit to victory lane.
Winning his second straight race on the Oregon-based Crate Late Model Series, Winebarger of Corbett, Ore., earned a $1,000 victory Saturday night at Sunset Speedway Park in the tour’s fourth event of the season.
Hometown driver Greg Walters, who won the tour’s first two events this season, was second for his third top-two finish.
Scott Winebarger, the winner’s father, was third while Late Model rookie Jacob Myers of Salem, Org., finished fourth and Brad Martin of Warren, Org., took fifth.
