Franklin charges from 12th for Fastrak win

LAWNDALE, N.C. (June 14) — Dennis Franklin of Gaffney, S.C., drove his AES Racing Barry Wright to his first Fastrak City Chevrolet Tour victory of the season Friday night, earning $2,000 in the Crate Late Model tour’s visit to Cleveland County Speedway. | Slideshow
Franklin mounted a charge from 12th to capture to top third-starting Furman Parton of Union Mills, N.C., notched at the finish. Hometown driver Ron Parker was third at the checkers with Matt Long of Concord, N.C., and Corey Gordon of Charlotte, N.C., rounding out the race’s top five finishers.
