Double rushes to Lernerville victory
SARVER, Pa. (July 5) — Josh Double of Bristolville, Ohio, captured Friday’s Crate Late Model touring event for the Sweeney Chevrolet-Buick-GMC Rush Late Model Series at Lernerville Speedway.
Double earned $1,200 for outrunning Rick Singleton of Huntingdon, Pa., while Ryan Montgomery of Fairmont, W.Va., was third. Chad Ruhlman of Bemus Point, N.Y., and Max Blair of Titusville, Pa., rounded out the top five.
Tour points leader Mike Pegher Jr. of Wexford, Pa., who entered the event with a 12-point lead over Singleton, was ninth in the 25-lapper.
