Winebarger gets sixth Northwest Extreme victory
COTTAGE GROVE, Ark. (Sept. 14) — Collen Winebarger of Corbett, Ore., claimed the Northwest Extreme Crate Series finale Saturday night at Cottage Grove Speedway, snapping Greg Walters’ five-race win streak on Oregon-based Crate Late Model tour.
Winebarger, who earlier in the year had a four-race win streak of his own, earned $1,000 in claiming his sixth series victory of the season.
Shaun Mayea of Bend, Ore., was second with Walters of Banks, Ore., third at the finish. Kevin Ropchan of Veneta, Ore., and Bob Trout of Banks Ore., rounded out the top five.
