ALEXANDRIA, Minn. (Aug. 30-31) — Zach Johnson of Lowry, Minn., captured the opening night of a Labor Day weekend doubleheader on the Northern LateModel Racing Association at Viking Speedway while Jeff Wildung of Nassau, Minn., reversed the finishing order the next evening.

Johnson started seventh in Saturday's event and rallied to outrun Wildung, who started outside the front row. Jeff Hinkemeyer of St. Cloud, Minn., was third followed by Brad Seng of Grand Forks, N.D., and Dave Zimmerman of Elizabeth, Minn.

In Sunday's finale, Wildung started fifth and found his way to the front to beat the eighth-starting Johnson. NLRA points leader Mike Balcaen of Winnipeg, Manitoba, was third followed by Seng and Shawn Kirwin of Morris, Minn.
