Troy Schill wins NLRA finale as Skytland gets title
WINNIPEG, Manitoba (Aug. 6) — Polesitter Troy Schill of Grand Forks, N.D., captured the season finale on the Northern LateModel Racing Association on Thursday at Red River Co-op Speedway. Schill earned his seventh career NLRA feature feature.
Steve Anderson of Grand Forks was second followed by Harold Schill Jr. of West Fargo, N.D., and Cody Skytland of Fargo, N.D., who wrapped up the 2009 series championship. Skytland was co-champion on the series in 2006 but won his first championship outright.
Michael Johnson of Harwood, N.D., who entered the race 28 points behind Skytland, finished 15th in the main event.
