Nelson sweeps Proctoberfest, collects $4,250

PROCTOR, Minn. (Oct. 10) — Darrell Nelson of Hermantown, Minn., swept the WISSOTA Late Model portion of Proctoberfest to earn $4,250 on a cold weekend at Proctor Speedway.
Nelson earned $1,000 for Friday's victory and added $2,500 for a victory in Saturday's feature. He earned a $500 bonus for his sweep and an additional $250 from Powers & Associates for the best combined finishes.
Adam Hensel of Barron, Wis., chased Nelson to the checkered flag in the opener while Lance Matthees of Winona, Minn., was runner-up in Saturday's event.
