Cryderman takes NLRA victory at Grand Rapids
GRAND RAPIDS, Minn. (July 1) — Canadian ace Joel Cryderman of Thunder Bay, Ontario, won from outside the front row Thursday at Grand rapids Speedway for a victory worth $1,250 on the Northern LateModel Racing Association. Cryderman, who makes occasional series starts, notched his third career NLRA victory and first since 2007.
Sixth-starting Jeff Provinzino of Hibbing, Minn., was second followed by Kevin Carlson of Hermantown, Minn. Kyle Peterlin of Hibbing rallied from 18th to finish fourth and reigning NLRA champion Cody Skytland of Fargo, N.D., rounded out the top five. Polesitter Jeff Massingill of Keewatin, Minn., faded to finish eighth.
