Kloos grabs first Northern Allstars victory

HIGHLAND, Ill. (April 30) — Ninth-starting Michael Kloos of Trenton, Ill., outdueled second-row starter Ryan Unzicker of El Paso, Ill., on Saturday at Highland Speedway for the first Northern Allstars Late Model Series victory of his career.
Kloos earned $2,000 for the victory at the quarter-mile oval while Unzicker and hometown driver Randy Korte followed him to the finish line. Polesitter Brandon Sheppard of New Berlin, Ill., and Rodney Melvin of Benton, Ill., rounded out the top five finishers in a race postponed a week by inclement weather.
The Northern Allstars return to action May 21-22 with events at Fairbury (Ill.) American Legion Speedway and Shepp's Speedway in Alexander, Ill.
