Leighton nabs first victory on Nebraska tour
McCOOL JUNCTION, Neb. (July 9) — Bill Leighton Jr. of Omaha, Neb., became the third first-time winner of the season on the Nebraska-based Super Late Model Racing Series, topping winningest series driver Kyle Berck of Marquette, Neb., at Junction Motor Speedway. The fourth-starting Leighton earned $1,000 for Saturday's victory. Al Humphrey of Giltner, Neb., was third.
The series continues tripleheader action Sunday at Dawson County Speedway in Lexington, Neb., and Boone County Raceway in Albion, Neb.
