Waseleski fells Thunder in the Pines
GRAND RAPIDS, Minn. (Sept. 23-24) — Fifth-starting Tom Waseleski Jr. of Pengilly, Minn., grabbed his second special-event victory of the month Saturday with a Thunder in the Pines triumph at Grand Rapids Speedway. Waseleski earned $3,000 in the track's season-ending event.
Ryan Aho of Hibbing, Minn., came from his fourth-row starting spot to finish second while pole-starting Jeff Provinzino of Hibbing was third. Home-state drivers Darrell Nelson of Hermantown and Harry Hanson of Eveleth rounded out the top five.
