Justin Fegers earns $4,000 at Viking Fall Classic
ALEXANDRIA, Minn. (Oct. 8) — Starting outside the front row, Justin Fegers of Mound, Minn., led all 40 laps Saturday at Viking Speedway for a $4,000 victory in the WISSOTA-sanctioned Fall Classic.
Fegers survived a pair of late-race restarts against some of the region's top drivers to hold on at the half-mile oval.
Lance Matthees of Winona, Minn., came from his eighth starting spot to finish second while Jimmy Mars of Menomonie, Wis., last year's race winner, started and finished third. Multitime track champion Jeff Wildung of Nassau, Minn., was fourth and Brad Seng of Grand Forks, N.D., rounded out the top five.
Track champion Shaun Peterson of Alexandria was 11th in the 26-car field.
