Fulp nabs Show-Me victory at Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (April 19) — Moving to the high side after a lap-11 restart, Jim Fulp of Aurora, Mo., overtook Don Cloyd on the 17th lap and led the rest of the way for a Show-Me Racin' Series victory at Springfield Raceway. Fulp held off a late low-groove charge by Jeremy Kelly for the victory while Shane Essary, Burl Wood and Cloyd rounded out the top five. Leslie Essary, who battled in the top five, ended up sixth after power steering problems struck. Front-row starters Ken Patterson (19th) and Rick Wallis (17th) weren't in the mix up front.
