Isenberg wins $3,000 in Langlade's lone 2012 event
ANTIGO, Wis. (Oct. 20) — Tim Isenberg of Marshfield, Wis., made the most of Langlade County Speedway’s only event of 2012, claiming a $3,000 victory Saturday night when the half-mile oval opened its doors for the Seubert Calf Ranches Fall Invitational.
Isenberg started from the outside of the front row in the unsanctioned 40-lap event and led every lap to claim the victory. The race’s only caution on lap 37 gave polesitter Nick Anvelink of Navarino, Wis., a chance to challenge for the lead late in the race, but Isenberg turned back the challenge.
Anvelink settled for second ahead of Doug Blashe of Marion, Wis. Troy Springborn and Brett Swedberg, both of Shawano, Wis., rounded out the top five in race that was postponed from Oct. 13 due to rain.
