Fellow Eau Claire driver Chad Mahder rallied from his ninth starting spot to finish second, picking up three spots over the final 12 laps. A pair of Navarino, Wis., drivers — Nick Anvelink and A.J. Diemel — finished third and fourth. Polesitter Nick Beyenhof of Rock Rapids, Iowa, slipped to fifth at the finish.
Two cautions slowed the action. Adam Hensel stalled in turn four on the 17th lap while Scott Gilberts was running second when he tangled with a lapped car on lap 28 and slid into the turn-four wall.
