A three-way battling developed over the closing laps among Seng, Weiss and Balcaen. With Seng leading, Weiss took second from Balcaen with two laps remaining and set his sights on the leader. Weiss made a last-ditch move to get past Seng with an outside move in turns three and four on the last lap, but he fell inches short in the drag race to the checkered flag with Balcaen just behind in third.
