Babcock wins Oakshade's Barney Oldfield Race
WAUSEON, Ohio (Aug. 3) — Jeff Babcock of Wayne, Ohio, won Saturday’s caution-free Barney Oldfield Race at Oakshade Raceway, earning a career-best $4,900 for his second Sunoco American Late Model Series victory of the season. | Slideshow
Dona Marcoullier of Houghton Lake, Mich., was second in the event, which served as the second leg of a weekend doubleheader for the series. Andrew Reaume of Blenheim, Ontario, finished third with Steve Kester of Holland, Ohio, and Brian Ruhlman of Clarklake, Mich., rounding out the top five.
Brandon Thirlby of Traverse City, Mich., winner of Friday’s series race at Mount Pleasant (Mich.) Speedway, finished sixth.
