Miller overtakes Boggs for Oakshade victory

WAUSEON, Ohio (May 24) — Matt Miller, the 1991 Oakshade Raceway champion, returned to his roots for a Sunoco American Late Model Series victory at the northern Ohio oval. The Whitehouse, Ohio, driver overtook Tyler Boggs of Warsaw, Ind., on the 23rd of 30 laps in the caution-free feature for a $2,000 victory.
Miller started sixth and tracked down Boggs, who started outside the front row, in the race's late stages. Boggs held on for second ahead of ninth-starting Jeep Van Wormer of Pinconning, Mich. Ronnie Perrine Jr. of Lima, Ohio, was fourth and 10th-starting Zack Olger of St. Johns, Mich., was fifth.
