WATERTOWN, S.D. (Aug. 13) — Kicking off a busy stretch of WISSOTA Late Model racing, John Kaanta of Elk Mound, Wis., came from his fourth starting spot Tuesday at Casino Speedway for his 23rd career series victory on the Blaine Brothers Challenge Series. He earned $2,000.

Kaanta topped fellow second-row starter Jake Redetzke of Eau Claire, Wis., for his second straight series victory while Zach Johnson of Kensington, Minn., rallied from his ninth starting spot for a victory that moved him into the series points lead.

Eighth-starting Chad Becker was fourth as the first home-state finisher ahead of fellow Aberdeen driver Kent Arment, who started and finished fifth. Polesitter Robby Bunkelman of Abbotsford, Wis., faded to a 12th-place finish in the 25-car field.

The series heads to Brown County Speedway in Aberdeen on Wednesday before wrapping up the season Aug. 22-24 with three straight races at Norman County Raceway in Ada, Minn., Amsoil Speedway in Superior, Wis., and Ogilvie (Minn.) Raceway.
