Weder grabs first NCRA win of season

MAYETTA, Kan. (Aug. 24) — Defending series champion Tommy Weder Jr. of Woodward, Okla., claimed his first National Championship Racing Association victory of the season Saturday night at Thunder Hill Speedway, earning $2,000 for his third career series victory. | Slideshow
Weder held off several challenges from runner-up Chase Junghans of Manhattan, Kan., throughout the 25-lap race, while David Turner of Creighton, Mo., Jason Magee and Dustin Walker rounded out the race’s top five finishers.
