Kaser scores first career SLMRS victory
GREENWOOD, Neb. (Sept. 1) — Jase Kaser of Lincoln, Neb., won from the pole position Sunday at I-80 Speedway for his first victory on the Nebraska-based Super Late Model Racing Series. He earned $1,000.
Kaser, 21, took the checkers ahead of series points leader and dominator Kyle Berck of Marquette, Neb., who started third.
Bill Leighton Jr. of Omaha, Neb., was third followed by Travis Dickes of Madison, Neb., and John Anderson of Omaha. Brian Kenkel of Elkhorn, Neb., started outside the front row, but he was the first retiree in the 21-car event.
Notes: Kaser’s No. 15 is sponsored by Sherwin Williams, Kaser Blasting & Coatings, Mobil 1, Lazer Chassis, WAM Performance Engines, Swartz Race Cars and BSB Mfg. ... The victory was Kaser’s sixth overall of the season. ... The series heads to Eagle (Neb.) Raceway on Sept. 8.
