Turner leads nonstop for MLRA win at Nevada

NEVADA, Mo. (June 29) — Winning his first series race in nearly three years, David Turner of Creighton, Mo., led all 40 laps of a caution-free O'Reilly Midwest LateModel Racing Association feature at Nevada Speedway. Shannon Phillips of Joplin, Mo., finished second in the event delayed a day by rain while hometown driver Brantlee Gotschall, Terry Phillips of Springfield, Mo., and Jerry Warner of La Vista, Neb., rounded out the top five. The race marked just the third series event at Nevada and first since 1998.
