Ross is first Canadian to win Castrol Shootout

SOUTH BUXTON, Ontario (Sept. 27) — Chris Ross of Wallaceburg, Ontario, pocketed a career-high $6,000 in becoming the first Canadian winner of the Castrol Canadian Late Model Shootout at South Buxton Raceway. Ross led all 40 laps of the UMP DIRTcar Series non-touring event. | Slideshow
Jon Henry of Ada, Ohio, finished second followed by Brian Ruhlman of Clarklake, Mich. Rusty Schlenk of Jackson, Mich., one of three former winners in the field, was fourth while Kevin Reeve of Hanover, Mich., rounded out the top five. The 2005 winner, Jayme Zidar of Greenfield, Wis., finished 20th and 2006 winner Curtis Roberts of Coleman, Mich., was 17th.
