HAGERSTOWN, Md. — The first rain in a month at Hagerstown (Md.) Speedway came at a bad time for the track's season-ending event. The 21st Octoberfest at the half-mile oval, which includes a $10,000-to-win Late Model event, was postponed to Nov. 8-9 by the wet stuff.
The track initially attempted to adjust starting times to try to get the action in, but the surface was too wet. Hagerstown will try again with a nearly identical schedule in two weeks with time trials set for Saturday, Nov. 8, and features set for Sunday, Nov. 9, in the four-division event.
Last year's Late Model winner was hometown driver Alan Sagi. For more information, check the speedway website or call the track at (301) 582-0640.
