Oakes captures ODLM 30-lapper at Edelweiss
CANTLEY, Quebec (Aug. 14) — Reigning Ontario Dirt Late Models champion Greg Oakes of Franklinville, N.Y., won the 30-lap feature at Autodrome Edelweiss for his first series victory of the year. Oakes earned $2,000 for the victory. | Related blog entry
Chris Ross of Wallaceburg, Ontario, was second with John Lobb of Frewsburg, N.Y., third in the final rundown. Mike Knight of Ripley, N.Y., ran second in the early going but fell from contention with a lap-11 pit stop. Lobb held the second spot until Ross snuck past in the final 10 laps.
