Cook earns $10,000 at Midway's Dunn Memorial
CROOKSVILLE, Ohio (July 2) — Getting his second victory of the Fourth of July weekend, Ray Cook of Brasstown, N.C., won the 26th annual Jim Dunn Memorial on Friday at Midway Speedway. Cook earned $10,000 for the unsanctioned victory, adding it to the $10,000 he won the previous night in Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series action at Beckley (W.Va.) Motorsports Park. | Slideshow
Cook started outside the front row and led all 50 laps at the 3/8-mile Midway oval. Don O’Neal of Martinsville, Ind., finished second with 17th-starting Brad Neat of Dunnville, Ky., in third. Bart Hartman of Zanesville, Ohio and Earl Pearson Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla., rounded out the top five in front of a fan-packed hillside
