May 26, 2013, 10:41 am
From series reports

BUSTI, N.Y. (May 25) — Polesitter Rob Blair of Titusville, Pa., cruised to his series-leading 11th-career victory on the NDRL's ULMS Racing Series Saturday night at Stateline Speedway, leading every lap for a $3,000 victory.

Russ King of Bristolville, Ohio, started and finished second while Boom Briggs of Bear Lake, Pa., advanced from 15th to finish third and Jason Dupont of Cyclone, Pa. advanced from 19th to fourth. Greg Oakes of Franklinville, N.Y., completed the top five.

One night after scoring his richest-career victory in World of Outlaws Late Model Series competition at Wayne County (Ohio) Speedway, Dave Hess Jr. of Waterford, Pa., ended up on his lid. Hess, who entered as the ULMS points leader, got upside while running third on the 28th lap. He was checked out at a local hospital in nearby Jamestown, N.Y., where he was cleared early Sunday morning with bruises, a chipped tooth and a sore back and neck.

Mike Knight of Ripley, N.Y., forfeited second when he suffered a flat right-rear tire under the lap-28 red flag for Hess.

Notes: Blair’s Rocket Chassis is sponsored by Specialty Products and Moody & Son Welding. ... The victory was Blair’s second on the ULMS tour this season; he also won the season opener April 6 at Mercer (Pa.) Raceway Park. ... The race was scheduled as the third leg of a weekend tripleheader for the ULMS tour, however, events Thursday and Friday were rained out. ...
