Norris bags $4,000 in Icon Tour visit to PPMS
IMPERIAL, Pa. (June 15) — Michael Norris of Sarver, Pa., collected $4,000 for his Herb Scott Memorial victory when the first-year Icon Weekley Electric Icon Memorial Tour visited Pittsburgh Pa. Motor Speedway for the second leg of the three-race miniseries.
Alex Ferree of Saxonburg, Pa., was second at the finish of Saturday’s race with Keith Barbara of South Park, Pa., just behind in third and Brandon Burgoon of McDonald, Pa., and Donnie Moran of Dresden, Ohio, rounding out the top five finishers.
The series, which was planned as four races before Thursday’s opener at Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, W.Va., was rained out. Doug Drown of Wooster, Ohio, claimed a $4,000 victory in Friday's series race at NAPA Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio. Sunday's Mark Balzano Memorial at West Virginia Motor Speedway in Mineral Wells, W.Va., was also rained out.
