Satterlee wins Red Miley Rumble at PPMS
IMPERIAL, Pa. (Aug. 17) — Inheriting the lead when Keith Barbara had mechanical problems, Gregg Satterlee of Rochester Mills, Pa., led the final 32 laps of the seventh annual Red Miley Rumble at Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway for a $5,106 victory on NDRL's ULMS Racing Series. | Slideshow
Satterlee earned his fifth victory on the circuit and first since 2012’s series season opener at Pittsburgh. Reigning series champion Boom Briggs of Bear Lake, Pa., was second followed by Lynn Geisler of Cranberry Township, Pa., Mason Zeigler of Chalk Hill, Pa., and Michael Norris of Sarver, Pa.
Austin Hubbard of Seaford, Del., was among the early retirees in the main event after a first-lap accident. The wreck drew a red flag when he made hard contact with infield tire barriers, severely damaging the right side of his No. 11. He was able to climb out of the car, but taken the hospital to be checked out. He had a concussion and other bumps and bruises and stayed overnight before being released early Sunday morning.
